The vertical shaft impact crusher (also known as sand making machine) has two feeding modes: full center feeding: the materials fall into the feeding hopper, enter the high-speed rotating rotor through the central feeding hole, and then are fully accelerated and thrown out through the launching port. First, they collide with a part of the materials that fall freely after rebound, and then impact together on the vortex material lining (or impact block) in the surrounding vortex cavity, First, it is rebounded to the top of the crushing chamber, then it moves downward and collides with the material emitted from the impeller passage to form a continuous material curtain, and finally it is discharged through the lower discharge port. Central feeding is accompanied by annular waterfall feeding: the material falls into the feeding hopper, then falls through the annular hole, and is divided into two strands by the bulk tray. One stream enters the high-speed rotating impeller through the distributor, and the other stream falls from the periphery of the distributor. The material entering the impeller is quickly accelerated in the impeller and then thrown out at high speed. First, it impacts and breaks with another part of the free falling material around the bulk tray, and then impacts on the vortex material lining (or impact block) in the surrounding vortex cavity together, and is rebounded to the top of the crushing cavity, The rear deflects downward and collides with the material emitted from the impeller passage to form a continuous material curtain, which is finally discharged through the lower discharge port.
